Detecting commutative permeability in physics
WebJun 23, 2024 · Pharmacokinetic modelling in DCE-MRI typically measures parameters relating to the permeability (permeability-surface area PS) and the volume of … Web$\begingroup$ While you were getting a lot of good answers from a mathematical point of view, I think most are missing the physics. From a physical point of view it is not true that it's the non-commutativity that "leads" to the uncertainty. It is the other way around: we are observing uncertainty in our measurements and need a mathematical tool to model it.

If the operators A and B are scalar operators (such as the position operators) then AB = BA and the commutator is always zero. Example 2.5.2. If the operators A and B are matrices, then in general AB ≠ BA.
WebMar 16, 2024 · When aiming to apply mathematical results of non-commutative geometry to physical problems, the following question arises: How they translate to a context in which only a part of the spectrum is known? In this article, we aim to detect when a finite-dimensional triple is the truncation of the Dirac spectral triple of a spin manifold.
